Blessing of the Fleet
July 26-27 is the blessing of the fleet a traditional celebration of fishermen, familes and friends. Saturday is a festival with seafood and Portuguese specialities and dancing at the dock. Sunday is a fishermen’s mass and a street parade ending at the dock where the boats are blessed and then there is a boat parade.
